Battle Of the Badges

Battle of the Badges is a charity hockey game hosted in several communities. Police Service members go head-to-head on the ice against Firefighters, to raise funds and support Special Olympics Alberta Athletes.

Cops & Crepes

Cops & Crepes is an official Law Enforcement Torch Run fundraising event combining the love of breakfast and brunch with service with a smile from those who serve and protect you.

Cops, Pops & Pizza

Let law enforcement’s finest put the serve in service, come and meet law enforcement members and Special Olympics athletes from around the community as they help serve up pizza with a smile! Our officers will be accepting donations and selling merchandise to support Special Olympics Alberta athletes.

Free Our Finest

Free Our Finest turns the table on first responders. Members are locked-up for up to 72 hours. They must eat, sleep and dance their way to raising funds for Special Olympics athletes. Throughout the weekend there are various showcases and special features, as well as opportunities to purchase merchandise.

Heroes Running for Heroes

Heroes running for Heroes is a charity run where individuals don their superhero costumes, to raise funds and support Special Olympics Alberta. 

Polar Plunge

The Polar Plunge is a unique opportunity for individuals, groups, and businesses to support Special Olympics Alberta athletes by jumping into frigid Alberta waters. Held at 5 locations across the province, as well as virtually, plungers have the opportunity to raise funds for athletes, earn incentives, and win some great prizes. Top fundraisers are also recognized annually at the LETR Alberta Association of Chief's of Police Awards & Recognition Banquet.

Truck Convoy

The Truck Convoy for Special Olympics is an annual event which unites law enforcement and the transportation industry to raise funds for Special Olympics athletes. Transport vehicles are escorted in a convoy from Calgary down to Aldersyde and back. Drivers are treated to a pancake breakfast, entertainment and a BBQ lunch, and are eligible to win great incentives and prizes.
