Do you know a Law Enforcement Torch Run member in Alberta that goes above and beyond for LETR? We are now accepting nominations for the 2021 Alberta LETR Community Service Award, the 2021 Alberta LETR Athlete Award and the Chief Tom McKenzie Distinguished Service Award.

ALBERTA LAW ENFORCEMENT TORCH RUN COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD

The Alberta LETR Community Service Award has been created to recognize an outstanding LETR volunteer who has contributed to the success of the Law Enforcement Touch Run on a local and/or provincial level.

Criteria

  • The candidate must be a Law Enforcement Torch Run volunteer in good standing in Alberta.
  • The candidate must have demonstrated exceptional dedication or commitment to the city and or province, worthy of recognition but may not qualify for the Distinguished Service Award.
  • The honoree has met or exceeded the expectations of their local LETR program

ALBERTA LAW ENFORCEMENT TORCH RUN CHIEF TOM MCKENZIE DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD

The Alberta LETR Chief Tom McKenzie Distinguished Service Award has been created to recognize an outstanding LETR volunteer who has gone above and beyond to contribute to the success of the Law Enforcement Torch Run on a local, provincial, national, and/or international level.

Criteria

  • The honoree must be a Law Enforcement Torch Run volunteer in good standing with a recognized LETR program in Alberta.
  • The honoree must have demonstrated exceptional dedication or commitment to the local, provincial, national, and/or international mission worthy of recognition but less than that required for the John Carion Unsung Hero Award or the Richard La Munyon Hall of Fame Award.  This award is intended for those volunteers who have exceeded expectations or standards.

ALBERTA LAW ENFORCEMENT TORCH RUN ATHLETE AWARD

The Alberta LETR Athlete Award has been created to recognize an outstanding Special Olympics Athlete who has contributed to the success of the Law Enforcement Torch Run on a local and/or provincial level.

Criteria

  • The Special Olympics athlete nominee is someone who contributes to the Law Enforcement Torch Run in spirit, dedication and enthusiasm in an effective fashion.- The Athlete must be currently registered in a Special Olympics Alberta program.
  • The Athlete must have participated in or volunteered at LETR events over the past calendar year (2021)
  • The Athlete must be an active promoter of the Law Enforcement Torch Run.
  • The Athlete must not have previously received the award
